I was sitting here thinking of what to say for the blog today, when all of sudden, I heard sirens and horns blaring non-stop. I looked out my window to see what the commotion was about only to find that someone was failing to pull over for an ambulance—for almost a quarter of a mile! The ambulance was right on top of this truck, blaring its horn. This truck could’ve pulled over—there weren’t any vehicles around. This is one of the many dangerous and unlawful things I see drivers do on a daily basis. When someone doesn’t pull over for emergency vehicles, there’s a possibility of getting a ticket. Never hold up EMS, if you can help it. They have an important job to do.

I commend the firefighters, EMTs, and police for the things they do. They’re putting their lives on the line to help others every single day. When someone doesn’t pull over to let them by, the result may just end someone’s life. Always be aware of your surroundings and respect the flashing lights.
